Raúl Fernández

Raúl has more than 20 years of experience in R&D Chemistry. He joined GalChimia in 2004 as an R&D Chemist, progressing quickly to Project Manager two year later. In 2012, he moved to a GalChimia’s new center in the Technological Park of Madrid located in Tres Cantos, where he became the Site Manager. In this role, he coordinated both laboratory and personnel aspects, as well as leading the GalChimia’s chemists’ team who collaborated with a big pharma company in the synthesis of two preclinical candidates. In 2022, his drive and commitment gained him the new role of Project Manager in the R&D&i Department, where he led efforts to remain at the forefront of chemical research, as well as the discovery pipeline. Raul holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Cadiz.
