PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
Carme is CEO and co-founder of GalChimia, a company that has become an international reference in organic synthesis focused on specialized services to the pharmaceutical industry. She has an extensive entrepreneurial career as founder and/or Board Member of several companies in the biotechnology sector. One of the most recent success stories has been Origo Biopharma, a company recently acquired by Agomab to take its projects to clinical phases.
She has a great interest in the promotion and development of science and technology-based entrepreneurship in Galicia and, in particular, related to biotechnology, leading the creation in 2010 of the Galician Life Sciences Technology Business Cluster (BIOGA), and in 2019 of the Digital Innovation Hub-DATALife.
Carme holds a PhD in Chemical Sciences from the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain)
